The NITE XML Toolkit is an open source cross-platform framework for handling multimodal annotations that are related both temporally and structurally. It is useful for creating new annotations especially on language corpora, and for analysing the existing annotations of a number of existing corpora, such as the AMI Meeting Corpus, the HCRC Map Task Corpus, and the Switchboard Corpus.
