Address and Maps

Informatics Forum, 10 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB

Arriving by train

Get off at Edinburgh Waverley station. From there, it’s a 10 minute walk to The Informatics Forum, or you can take a taxi.

Arriving by plane

From Edinburgh airport, you can take the city shuttle bus (number 100) from directly outside the terminal to Waverley station (the last stop on the route). Tickets for the bus can be purchased at the stop outside the terminal, or on the bus itself — they are 5 pounds for an open return, or 3 pounds for a single ticket. The journey takes around 25 minutes. From Waverley station, follow the `arriving by train’ instructions above.

An alternative is to take a taxi directly from the airport.

Arriving by car

Parking in Edinburgh can be difficult and expensive. For a short stay, there are spaces with pay and display parking meters in many of the surrounding roads, such as Buccleuch Place. You may want to consider driving to your hotel/accommodation and leaving your car there.
